Terms & Conditions

General Terms
For obvious reasons joining Pedigree Pals boarding or day care services is conditional upon your dog being able to get along with other dogs. All dogs must wear a regular collar or a half-check (not a slip collar), fastened or fitting tight enough so that it will not slip over the head but not too tight so as to cause discomfort. A disc bearing the owner’s telephone number must be attached to the collar.
By sending your dog to Pedigree Pals you acknowledge that you are fully aware of the fact that Pedigree Pals provides a care environment whereby dogs mix together. This applies to day care and boarding dogs. If your dog requires to be kept separately you need to discuss this with us. Only a written undertaking by us to keep your dog separately can be deemed to demonstrate our consent to do so.
When dogs mix together and engage in play or otherwise, they sometime get injured. If you object to this possibility you should reconsider using day care for your dog. The dogs’ playtime is supervised, but at times injury will be unavoidable. We will not, under any circumstances, be held liable to injury sustained by dogs from other dogs in the centre.
The first time you bring your dog to meet us we will require a copy of his/her vaccination certificate, which must show up to date treatment.
Owners must have their dogs vaccinated against:-
Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, Canine Parvovirus, Para Influenza and Kennel Cough

Dogs will only be admitted and insured if they have had the above injections. In addition, deworming and defleaing is also required and by signing our registration documentation you are confirming that your dog has been properly treated. Without these your dog will not be permitted into our care. You also undertake to keep vaccinations and treatments for your dog up to date.
Bedding, Food & Treats
For boarding dogs, please bring your dog’s bedding – this will help them settle in. Also you must provide your dog/s regular food and any treats. We will follow your feeding guidelines during their stay.
Injury & Medical Care
A significant part of our day care programme involves social intection between the dogs. Whist dogs are supervised during these activities, accidents do happen when dogs are playing together. If your dog happens to require medical care while at our facility, the following will apply:

  • All veterinary and other bills relating to your dog’s condition and medical care must be covered by you – no exceptions!
  • We advise that you should have adequate pet insurance for your dog
  • If your dog requires medical attention while at the centre we will use our local veterinary surgery, unless otherwise agreed.

Fees & Deposits
Please see our Fee Schedule for current fees. Our fees are charged per night, if your dog is collected after 12.00 on departure day you will be charged for day care up to 5pm.
Our daily boarding fees include full use of our day care service.
A 20% non-refundable deposit is required within 7 days of your reservation being made along with your returned booking form to guarantee your place. The balance of fees are payable on arrival by cash or cheque (we don’t accept credit cards). If deposit is received within 7 days, your reservation will be automatically cancelled and this period made available to any new clients or those on our waiting list. If for whatever reason your dog is unable to attend day care, no charges will be applied, provided that you notify us prior 24 hours in advance.
Pedigree Pals maintains the right to change these terms and conditions at any time without notice, or to refuse admittance to a dog for whatever reason. Unless by prior agreement, we reserve the right to arrange for the re-homing of any dogs that have not been collected within 7 days of the stated collection date. This will only be as a last resort having made every effort to locate and contact the owners.
